6 - The AP Student

In the small period in class when I was analyzing Candide, I thought about the qualities that lead to the qualities of an AP student – what separates the topics between the two English classes, for instance? Personally, I think it is all in the name that indicates the performance and manner of the student. What does AP mean, exactly? Easy, it stands for “artful people” in that the students in these classes master the art of knowledge to a degree of excellence, the students themselves knowing all about the class before the first day.

AP can also stand for “astonishingly persistent”. The scholars of this class all can handle everything that will come against them in pristine quality. Any true AP student will have the ability to take at least 6 AP classes, due to the persistence described in this definition.

AP stands for “always perfect”. A notable quality of the AP student is their perfect grades, perfect GPA, perfect attitude and perfect work ethic. One who performs lower than the highest grade possible is not an AP student, but a normal student that happens to be in AP classes – it is a simple application of logics in the definition of AP, as a student must employ all of these qualities to be awarded of the title.

There are some despicable students that says that AP means “advanced placement", but this is simply not true, as this implies qualities that are unlike the AP student. This definition connotes that AP Students are “willing to learn” and “need to improve in these classes”, but true AP students are always perfect, no questions.
